Gunther Thurl

Gunther Thurl is a human mercenary of 75 years (proximately) of age and veteran member of Tagon's Toughs. Thurl is a very capable officer and soldier with seniority over almost every other member of the Toughs, but has only remained with the company due to the understanding that he will immediately resign should he ever be promoted above the rank of Chief Warrant Officer.

When Thurl first signed on with the Toughs, he suffered from chronic obesity - although he often defended his condition by claiming that he was "just big boned". Following his decapitation during the retaking of Princess Tyola, he was genetically altered to make his body leaner and more muscular. Although he initially complained about the change, he has retained his new body ever since.

During the course of his career with the toughs he acted as the recruitment officer, computer programmer, and responsible handling the affairs of enlisted personal (sometimes young officers.)

Later in his career with the Toughs, he along with many of his crewmembers would be killed in action when their ship was ambushed. Due to the Project Laz'R'Us technology, his mind and body were saved. When he was in the virtual waiting room waiting to be restored, he decide it was time of a change of jobs. Forgoing his body restoration, he would (forcibly) become Petey's exclusive officer, chiefly shepherding the newly dead through the process of waiting for new bodies.

During the escalation of the Baryon Wars (war against the Pa'anuri), he would or a copy of his digital self would volunteer to join Kaff Tagon aboard the tiny exploration ship, Pursuing Dinosaurs one of three ship crew meet with the Boloceadeans World Ship outside the galaxy. He and crew of the ship would be brought aboard and be mindjacked into flesh bodies once again for their meeting what would be Dinosaurs.
