Although artificially uplifted Elephants are a common sight on Earth and Luna, the Neophant is a relatively new sub-species. Genetically altered to be both smaller and stronger than their more bestial kin, Neophants also possess three-fingered "hands" on their forelimbs.
Only one generation of Neophants have thus far been created, but their existence has swiftly fostered the resentment of the uplifted Elephant community.
